OUR PROCESS
At Creative Niche, our reputation is built upon the creativity and skills of our candidates. We want to be known as the agency that has the best talent in Toronto. To achieve this, we have in place a comprehensive screening process. Not only does this ensure that our clients are matched with experienced, capable talent, but it also let us get to know you and your unique strengths, which allows us to better market you.
Screening Process
- Phone Interview: During this conversation, we learn about your general qualifications and expectations.
- Onsite Interview: You will come to the Creative Niche office where, after about 30 minutes of paperwork, you will meet with one of team members. In addition, depending on the role, we will conduct a portfolio review and/or skills testing. All Graphic Design, Page Assembly and Proofreading candidates are tested. Afterwards, we will again review your expectations and decide upon representation.
- Reference Check: You will need to provide us with three manager-level references from current or past employers, which we check one to two weeks after your onsite interview.
Once you have successfully passed the screening process, we can begin to look for work for you.
Payment
For freelance positions, you will complete a timesheet each week or at the end of the assignment, with the client's signature authorizing the hours worked. You then submit the timesheet to Creative Niche and we invoice the client the following week. As long as you submit your authorized forms, you will be paid on a weekly basis, no matter when Creative Niche is paid by the client. You won't be left hanging because of a client's tardiness.
