We just met, when will I hear about a full-time job?
This depends entirely on our clients and the marketplace. We have all your information and know what you are looking for; now it's a matter of waiting for the right job to come in.

We just met, when will my references be called?
We try to call them immediately, however sometimes it takes us a couple of weeks to get them all of them completed.

How much work can I expect from Creative Niche?
This depends on your availability, flexibility and our clients' needs. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a certain amount.

How long do most freelance assignments last?
It varies. An assignment can last anywhere from one day to several months.

If I am working freelance with Creative Niche, will you still call me about full-time jobs?
Absolutely. We look out for your best interests and will definitely consider you for any suitable full-time positions.

Do I need to purchase a mobile phone?
We recommend that you either have a mobile phone or check voicemail regularly so that we can reach you immediately when we have a freelance assignment for you or need to confirm an interview date and time. With freelance jobs, if we are not able to reach you immediately, the assignment may be given to another candidate.

What kind of clients does Creative Niche work with?
We have a diversified client list ranging from Fortune 500 companies to renowned design studios and multinational advertising agencies.

Can I register with other staffing agencies other than Creative Niche?
Absolutely. We encourage you to pursue additional job avenues.

Can I work from home for freelance positions?
In some cases, there will be an opportunity for you to work from home. In most cases, our clients require all freelance talent to work on-site at their studio.

What software is most widely used by Creative Niche's clients for print?
Quark, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

What happens if I cannot complete my assignment?
You are responsible for completing the work you have been contracted to perform. If for some reason, you are unable to do so, you must contact us immediately so we can make arrangements to take care of our client's needs.

What is considered over-time?
Any hours that exceed 44.0 in one week are considered over-time.

What is the minimum workday?
You are guaranteed a minimum of 4.0 hours on-site and 2.0 hours off-site.

Can I take copies/samples of what I have produced for clients?
While working with Creative Niche's clients, you are under a non-disclosure agreement, and therefore cannot take unauthorized copies/samples of work. However, if you receive written consent from the client to retain samples, you may.

What happens if I have problems on an assignment?
If you have troubles on your assignment, give us a call. We will do our best to point you in the right direction or take necessary action.

What should I do if a client approaches me about working longer than the scheduled assignment?
If this happens, please call your Creative Niche contact and we'll talk about your availability and interest.

What should I do if a client approaches me about working with them on a permanent basis?
Any full-time positions must be negotiated between the client and Creative Niche, so please call your Creative Niche contact.

How do I inform Creative Niche of my availability?
Please submit your availability via email on a weekly basis to avail@creativeniche.ca and we will make note of it.
